SBAR Communications

1.0 Continuing Education Credit Hour

The SBAR Communications Module is the foundational module for the ltcGAIN program and must be completed first, as the SBAR communication technique is a primary teaching tool in the modules.  SBAR provides a framework for communication between members of the health care team about a patient's condition.  It is an easy-to-remember, concrete mechanism useful for framing any conversation, especially critical ones, requiring a clinician's immediate attention and action.
